On the ground
Sound familiar?
What it looks like on the ground when drawings can't be trusted.
Searches that go nowhere.
Type a search and get 400 results. Half are duplicates and old versions, and the one you need isn't there. After two minutes, people give up and call someone.
Work done off the wrong revision.
Several versions of the same drawing sit side by side, with nothing to say which is live. People open the first one they see and trust it.
Shadow copies everywhere.
Search is too slow, so people keep their own sets on network drives, laptops and in the ute. Their markups never make it back.
A cost nobody records.
Hunting for drawings, then a site visit to check them. It happens often, and nobody counts it.
The three pillars
What the assessment measures
Engineering drawings are trusted when three things hold. Miss one and the other two stop paying you back.

One spot
One controlled place that everybody uses, and that decides which revision is live.

Findability
Anyone can find the right drawing in under 90 seconds, with no second-guessing.

Currency
When the plant changes, the drawing changes too. Field markups make it back into the register.

“After migrating to our Engineering Drawing Management System, our engineers and coordinators couldn’t find the drawings they were searching for… We are now at close to 100% metadata extracted from our drawings. This rebuilt confidence in the system without compromising governance. We’ve seen an uptick in people finding drawings that aren’t right and submitting red pen markups quickly.”

Who's behind this
“For almost 20 years, I've been trying to fix one thing: engineering drawing management not having the impact it could. We poured our heart into building Redeye.co, but realised it was only part of the solution.
We know that well-maintained engineering drawings correlate with great asset maintainability, but making them a leading indicator is a collaboration.”

We start with the drawings: findable, current, and in one spot.

Questions
Before you start
Who is this for?
Asset owners, maintenance leads, engineers and document controllers who rely on engineering drawings to run a plant or site.
How long does it take?
About a minute. Five questions, all multiple choice.
We already have a document management system. Is this still for us?
Yes. A system covers one pillar. The assessment also checks whether people can find the right drawing in it, and whether it matches the plant.
What is the score based on?
Three of your answers. How you find drawings sets Findability. How many places you store drawings, and whether one of them is a controlled system, sets One spot. How long markups take to reach the register sets Currency. A pillar is holding when it scores 60 or more out of 100.
Is DrawingHub just another AI tool?
No. AI reads drawings at a scale people can't. People then check the drawings the AI is unsure about. Neither one works alone.
Does it cost anything?
No. The assessment and the roadmap are free.
What do you do with my email?
We use it to send your roadmap, and a few short follow-up notes on drawing management. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Will a salesperson call me?
No. Your roadmap offers a time to talk, but only if you want one. Otherwise you get the roadmap and a few short emails.
Where do my answers go?
Your answers and email are saved in DrawingHub's own database and used to build your roadmap. We do not sell them, and we do not pass them to other companies for marketing.
